Sitting in the airport at Halifax waiting for my Porter flight back to Toronto after a very successful Free Verse and Poets Laureate gathering organised by Shauntay Grant, Halifax's PL. Ten of us talked about the challenges and opportunities of being a PL, engaged in workshops and discussions for the public and performed at the Halifax Jazz Festival's Words + Music. A big shout out to Shauntay for all her hard work n putting it all together!
